2008.01.06 Sunday

Susan woke up at frickn 7 AM because she was complaining that it was too cold in our AWESOME SINGLES ROOM. So she left to sleep downstairs in the sun. But before she left, she turned off our air conditioning. WHAT THE FREAK!?!?!?! Daniel Seok and myself both woke up because we were starting to sweat and it was humid as hell. Frickn Susan. Daniel and I woke up late at around 10 am and we all booked it to Tamarindo for lunch.

We got some Subway and Pizza Hut for lunch. While waiting for the others to finish, I was already suffering from internet withdrawal and went hunting for a computer. Lee was my partner in crime and we found a hotel that got us internet access for $3 for 15 minutes. The connection was really slow but I was able to quickly check email. Lee checked some scores and we were out. But by the time we left, the car had departed. We ran down the street and found those bastards.

We arrived at the end of the street and waited to get on the booze cruise. While waiting, a few of us walked around the shops and bought a few random items (Imperial hats). We gathered back and discovered there’d be around 30 people on the cruise. The lady explained that there’d be snacks and plenty of alcohol to go around. I timidly asked her “um, what if they run out of alcohol?” She smirked at me and said, “well, that’s never happened and some people have really tried but no one has succeeded.” I smirked back and retorted “Don’t worry, I’ll get my money’s worth!” And boy, did I! My name after that day became borracho sam! (drunkard sam)

I’ll let the pictures do the talking here. But I will comment that it was loads of fun and I was drunk well before we even got to the snorkeling / kayaking point. I also met a few great new friends from Miami, Canada, and even overseas (Sweden)!

And after returning from the cruise, we ate dinner in Tamarindo and drove back to the house and passed out! What a GREAT start to our vacation! :) Unbelievable thus far!
